A City Not Made With Hands

November 20, 2007

A lot of the discussion on this blog, many may find to be disturbing.  We often talk about the end times, but perhaps need to focus rather on the “end of time.”  When time itself is no longer and we are forever with the Lord Jesus in the realm of the everlasting.  An eternal city, where nothing sinister can ever intrude.  The drama of this present world will be as a distant memory; the heartache, infirmities, and tears, forever removed.  It’s imperative to not be overcharged with the things of this world nor be rattled by the things which must shortly come to pass.

Such is the purpose of this second blog.  Not to cause fear or contention, but rather a watching on the part of the saints.  That we would love Jesus wholeheartedly and long for his appearing.  When we focus on the eternal, the lures of this present world grow strangely dim.   May we all run with patience the race that is set before us and hold fast the profession of our faith steadfast unto the end.

Revelation 22:20-21  “He which testifieth these things saith Surely I come quickly.  Amen. Even so, come Lord Jesus.  The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all.  Amen.”

I wish to all a most blessed day in Jesus.

  1. I love that picture!

  2. Greetings Marie. I hope that you had an awesome thanksgiving. This picture is a great reminder that the things which are not seen are eternal. Thanks for taking time to stop by.

Have a blessed weekend in Jesus.

  3. Amen! Yes, the picture is gorgeous and aren’t we looking forward to The Homecoming?!?! Last night, I read a new George Barna report of a compilation of this past year’s trends. It seems upcoming generations are “revising” Christianity, doing away with absolutes and incorporating other doctrines (as is expected but we all have people in our lives who need prayer). Pray without ceasing!

Such an excellent and worthy endeavor, timbob!

    In His Love.
